Velocity Dance Convention is a national touring dance convention and competition traveling to 20+ cities across the US during a season.

We produce dance classes taught by industry leading choreographers and hold a competition portion for students to perform against other dancers.

In July we host our Season Finale in Las Vegas with entertainment from musical artist such as: Tove Lo, Ava Max, Todrick Hall, Becky G, Nicky Youre, Hailee Steinfeld, and Jordan Fisher to name a few.

Velocity owns and travels with staging, lighting, video walls, and sound where we build an incredible stage for the dancers to perform every weekend.

AUDIO ENGINEER - A1

Velocity operates a Behringer Wing 48-ch, PRX-835W, SRX828SP, QSC monitors, and Shure Wireless Mics for the Main Stage and QSC Subs & Speakers for the breakout rooms.

You will be responsible for the installation and dismantling of ground supported sound systems. Tuning of large ballrooms and convention centers. Utilizing Qlab on a MAC laptop for music playback.

LIGHTING ENGINEER - L1

Velocity has Grand MA3 with PC Command Wing XT. Robe MMX blade, Mac 350s, Lekos, LED strip lighting, MVS hazers, and PC Laptop for operations.

Candidate will have the know how to give a clean stage wash, have working knowledge on how to communicate lighting to Resolume Arena 7 and program custom looks. Utilizing 5 pin and 4 pin DMX, power con, TruOne.

All positions would be responsible for setting up their appropriate department including Trussing, Staging, Loading/Unloading of Truck. We have a traveling crew of 3 labor hands + 1 production manager.

CDL-A DRIVER

We are looking for dedicated drivers to add to our touring productions. Candidates must have 3 Years experience, clean driving record, and current MVR to apply.

We are only looking for commercial drivers with a Class A drivers license. All trucking, trailer, and equipment is provided. For our driver position, this is for spot dates on our existing tour schedule. Subject to change however starting mid-January.

VIDEO WALL ENGINEER - V1

Velocity has panels of P2.6 video wall for install and dismantle each show. The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of Novastar VX16s, Resolume Arena 7, and as a bonus Grand MA3 PC Wing.

Video wall installation, scaling, content mapping/organizing, and other video wall related work.

All positions would be responsible for setting up their appropriate department including Trussing, Staging, Loading/Unloading of Truck. We have a traveling crew of 3 labor hands + 1 production manager.
