MVA+ Dancers

The MVA(+) Program is an exclusive pre-professional experience created for Teen and Senior dancers who are ready to continue growing, exploring, and taking the next step in their training.

The program gives selected dancers the opportunity to be challenged in new ways while receiving additional guidance and support throughout the season. MVA(+) dancers are encouraged to strengthen their technique, develop their artistry, build confidence, and become more adaptable performers.

Our goal is to help each dancer grow as an individual while gaining a better understanding of the many paths available within the dance industry. The program is designed to meet dancers where they are, encourage them to step outside their comfort zones, and support them as they work toward their personal and professional goals.

The MVA(+) Program is intended to complement, not replace, a dancer’s training and commitment to their home studio. Dancers reach this level because of the foundation, education, mentorship, and support they receive from their studio teachers. Continued participation in their studio training remains an important part of their growth, and Velocity encourages every MVA(+) dancer to remain committed to the community that helped them reach this point.

To be considered for the MVA(+) Program, dancers must:

Be in the Teen or Senior age division
Receive an MVA Scholarship at a regional event
Attend the Season Finale that same season as an MVA participant
Audition at Season Finale for the MVA(+) program

During the Season Finale, Velocity faculty will select approximately 40 to 50 Teen and Senior dancers to join the MVA(+) Program for the following season.

Dancers are considered based on their work ethic, attitude, consistency, versatility, and overall participation throughout the Season Finale week. Faculty also look for dancers who show a willingness to learn, try new things, support those around them, and continue developing into well-rounded artists.

Being selected for MVA(+) is an exciting opportunity to continue growing within the Velocity community while remaining connected to the studio training that has shaped each dancer’s journey. We are proud to welcome each new group of dancers and look forward to supporting them throughout the season ahead.
