At Velocity, inspiring the next generation of dancers is at the heart of everything we do.
Velocity is proudly independently owned and operated by Cory Jones and Eve Mason-O’Malley. As the dance industry continues to evolve, our independence allows us to remain personally involved in the decisions that shape each event and to stay focused on what matters most: the dancers, teachers, studios, and families who place their trust in us. Velocity has grown through genuine relationships, a shared love of dance, and a commitment to creating experiences that serve and strengthen our community.
Our faculty is made up of accomplished teachers and choreographers who are not only leaders in the dance industry, but also genuinely invested in the dancers in front of them. Through thoughtful instruction and meaningful encouragement, our goal is to help every dancer grow in confidence, strengthen their training, and feel inspired to continue pursuing what they love.
We believe a dancer’s experience should extend beyond the classroom. Throughout each Velocity weekend, dancers and their families have access to additional opportunities such as complimentary fitness classes, college exposure, and resources designed to support their continued growth both inside and outside the studio.
Velocity is also proud to partner with respected organizations throughout the dance industry. Through Velocity and these partnerships we award more than $150,000 in scholarships at each regional event, giving dancers access to additional training, education, and experiences that can help shape their future.
At our Season Finale, dancers have the opportunity to perform alongside a live musical artist. Past featured artists have included Khalid, Becky G, Icona Pop, Tove Lo, Ava Max, and Todrick Hall. For many dancers, this becomes a once in a lifetime experience that provides a professional performance credit, valuable industry experience, and memories they will carry with them for years.
More than anything, we hope every dancer who attends Velocity leaves feeling seen, encouraged, and excited about what comes next. We want dancers to walk away with renewed confidence, a deeper love for dance, and the motivation to boldly pursue their goals.
